Oyo State Energy Ministry Officials Engage In Peer Learning Session at NERC

A team from the Oyo State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has concluded a week-long Peer Learning and Twinning session at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) headquarters in Abuja.

The visiting officials had robust interactions with officials from the various divisions of NERC, allowing them to take note of innovations and standards to drive a seamless state electricity regulatory commission.

NERC is transferring regulatory oversight for the intrastate electricity market in Oyo State from NERC to the Oyo State Electricity Regulatory Commission (OSERC).

NERC had issued an order to commence the transfer process as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Electricity Act 2023.
