The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is inviting all eligible applicants to the 2025 NERC Essay Competition.
Topic: Electricity Theft: Implications and Consequences in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry
Who is Eligible: The competition is open to students in Senior Secondary School Year Two (SS2) in both public and private secondary schools across the country.
The application portal will open on 16th May 2025 at 6:00 PM and will close on 15th June 2025 at 6:00 PM.
All essay submissions must include the student’s full name, complete home and school addresses, email address, and contact phone number clearly stated within the body of the essay. Each essay should be approximately 1,000 words in length and must be submitted as an attachment to electricitychallenge@nerc.gov.ng.
