Imo State Electricity Regulatory Commission Pays Courtesy Visit to NERC

The Imo State Electricity Regulatory Commission (ISERC), led by its Chairman, Mr. Bede Opara, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) in Abuja on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen inter-regulatory collaboration and advance the development of Nigeria's evolving electricity market.

The ISERC delegation was received by the Chairman of NERC, Dr. Musiliu Oseni, alongside the Commission's management team.

The visit provided an opportunity for both Commissions to discuss issues of mutual interest, particularly the implementation of the Electricity Act 2023, which empowers states to establish and regulate intrastate electricity markets.
