NERC Celebrates Winners of 2025 National Essay Competition
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is proud to have hosted the winners of our annual essay competition today in Abuja. With this annual initiative, the Commission seeks to empower the next generation of critical, smart young minds to imagine and build a brighter energy future for Nigeria.
This year, over 180 SS2 students from across Nigeria submitted entries on the critical topic: “Electricity Theft: Implications and Consequences in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry.”
To ensure the highest standards of excellence and transparency, the entire competition was marked by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
Finalists, accompanied by their proud parents and school representatives, gathered at the Commission for a memorable ceremony where the awards were presented by the Commission’s leadership.
