Abia State Electricity Regulator Seeks Collaboration with NERC
The Abia State Electricity Regulatory Authority (ASERA) is seeking deeper collaboration with the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) as it prepares to assume full regulatory control of the electricity market in Abia State by December 2025.
ASERA Chairman, Mr. Emeka Onyegbule, led the delegation and expressed the Authority’s commitment to building strong partnerships with NERC, particularly in the area of regulatory knowledge exchange.
Presiding over the meeting, NERC’s Commissioner for Research and Data Analytics, Dr. Yusuf Ali, affirmed the Commission’s readiness to share its extensive regulatory experience to support ASERA’s operational readiness.
The three-day peer-learning session will feature briefings and engagements with NERC officials across various divisions to equip the ASERA team with deeper insights into regulatory processes and best practices.
