Summit: Stakeholders Discuss Opportunities, Funding Pathways For Renewable Energy
Stakeholders at the Summit On Accelerating Scale-Up of Renewable and Distributed Energy Resources in Nigeria, have charted a course on identifying opportunities and funding pathways for renewable energy projects.
Leading the discussion during a technical session on Monday, Dr. Yusuf Ali, the Commissioner, Planning, Research and Strategy at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, said the robust regulatory frameworks will enable investors to scale up renewable and distributed energy integration in the Nigerian electricity system.
Six other panelists from development finance institutions, distribution companies, and renewable energy firms also contributed to the conversation on finding optimal financing models that support the development of renewable energy projects.
