NERC, NESG forge ties on the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry

In pursuit of strengthening the ongoing reform of the power sector, the CEO of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Dr Tayo Aduloju, visited the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission during which a discussion was held on the private sector perspectives of some of the policy and regulatory initiatives in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI). The parties exchanged ideas on, amongst many other topics, the role of renewables in enhancing energy security and the emerging challenges and opportunities presented by the Electricity Act 2023. The parties committed to working together on stakeholder management aspects of the reform and the resolution of the sustainability challenge in the power sector.
